SHOOTIN' EVERYWHERE
I've been pretty busy because of finals week and so far, this has been THE WORST FINALS WEEK I'VE HAD. Proj sucked the life out of me and doing all my other works are just soo...blegh. The best thing this term is my Black and White Photography class.
We were running out of time for Photog class so my prof told us we could use his studio for free. Luckily for me, his studio was very near my house. Here's what the place looks like:
My prof's DIY Lighting. He loves to do DIYs I dunno why :))
Check out his old school camera! He's a fan of film cameras and his place has loads of camera porn. Totes amaze. Oh, and yes, that camera still works and takes amazing photos.
My partner in crime, Lee..oh yeahhh.
Lee borrowed Sir Jay's camera. It was actually fun to use. I got to use it to take photos of Lee. He wanted me to shoot him using that camera so I obliged.
AND FINALLY, AFTER ALL THIS TIME OF DREAMING OF A TLR, I actually got to hold AND use one! It's a dream. Totally ignited my search for MY very own TLR. I hope I get one soon...maybe Imma ask one for my birthday or when I go to Hong Kong. :D
This is also one of my prof's cameras. It looks like a 35mm camera but it's actually a 120. The lens pops up to reveal the "screen" just like a TLR. Pretty cool, huh?
Lee gettin' ready for his shoot.
My prof LOVES cats and he's got like 4 or 5 of them there.
Down here you'll see cat porn and her name is Milkshake. Milkshake does bring all the boys (and girls) to her yard because she's just fuckin' gorgeous...check her out:
She was totally modelling and my friend just went apeshit crazy on the camera sooo...yeah. You can't touch Milkshake tho because prof said she's a bitch. Lol, ironic but yeah, she scratches and for a moment there I thought she was giving me the finger/paw :))) Nonetheless, she's totes adorbs.
AND THAT'S US RIGHT THERE!
Postin' the pictures of the results from the film shoots next. :D

Yay!
Finally, I'm... "blogging" again hehehe. Pero no, for sure ngayon lang yan because of the long weekend and since I have some time to share my shit with you guys (whoever you may be)...Here's the low-down on what I've been doing lately.
THESIS!
My life revolves around my thesis and lemme show you what my study room looks like...
![]() |
| This is the sliding door and I posted some background stuff and character studies on it. |
This is the other table that's filled with my stuff on it. You can see that my peg is Sin City and there's the book over there. I borrowed it from the Library.
And this is what it looks like zoomed out. Oh, don't mind the big jar of salsa. Pretend it's not there.
OKAY, I LIKE TO EAT WHEN I'M STRESSED. THERE. I SAID IT.
HAHAHA. KAY.
Thesis is over and I passed so yaaayyy for me! But there's still MPROJ2, that's like thesis part 3 and it's the marketing part of my thesis. So there's MSCIETY (the researching part), MPROJ1 (the actual project) and then MPROJ2 (which is the marketing of the thesis). And that's the life of a senior in SDA.
Fete de la Musique passed as well and that day was pretty crazy. I went to the Cynthia Alexander Farewell thingamajig but did not get to see her perform because well, it took her HOURS to get on the freakin stage. When I left, it was about 11PM and no one has seen her yet at that time! Rumors were going around that she was still being interviewed and DAMN, that interviewer dude made sure to TAKE HIS TIME.
All is cool though because I got to hang out with my friend, Kumiko. She's really nice and I felt really bad for leaving without seeing Cynthia Alexander because I know she wanted me to see how awesome she was. So instead of seeing her live, before I left I decided to buy her album which had some pretty cool songs btw. I should post some soon.
After the Cynthia Alexander Farewell thing, I told my driver to get me to B-side which was on the other side of the planet from the CA gig and I made it just in time... TO SEE WILABALIW...again. Ugh, really tho. I get why they're so iconic and all but they're just not my thing.
I decided to just eat and roam around with my friends. Down here's a dude wearing a cool Trainspotting tee.
Here's a dude totally rockin' to Wilabaliw.
And some random art stuff on the walls of The Collective.
Oh, and this is my first time to taste this chocolate!
Kumiko gave me these chocolate bars and they're insanley good and what's cooler is that they are locally made, oh yeaahhhh!
Check 'em out here. Totes amaze :)))
My friend and I couldn't finish the drink we ordered so we told Joey to finish them all. Spot Joey roamin' around drunk. :)))
Hi Joey, love you~~ :))
PS. I went to the Ang Nagwawala concert for the Ang Nawawala film and it was helluva fun! I used my film camera tho so I dunno what pictures I got, hopefully meron naman so I can share it soon but for nao, Fete na lang muna haha. If you wanna check out my film stuff, check my tumblr! :D
PPS. I'm also brewing something new for you guys. Clue: leather and canvas. Pero para mas madali, you can check what's brewin' over here.

Analog Signals
Went to this Dope MNL thing somewhere in Chino Roces and totally had a blast. Mostly because I was just hanging out with my friends.
Here is a close up of the shirt that I wore that night. It's the Madonna/Virgin shirt from Proudrace!
Hehe, got it when Status had a garage sale or sumthin. We went over to Patmai's place to drop of her school stuff and went to Nova Gallery. We had a tough time looking for it but eventually found it. Luckily, my friend Patmai was familiar with the place.
When we got there, Bee Eyes was already playing! Yay, I got to see them again because I just think they're awesome. The sad part is that I never get to start their set, haha.
When we got there, a lot of people were outside but we decided to roam around the gallery first. Below are some of the art featured in the gallery. The gallery, btw was pretty cool and nice. Click on the images na lang to enlarge, hehe.
This one was pretty cool, it's really just a black and white art on canvas but a projector made it change its colors! Cool idea, man.
Bee Eyes finished their set and my friends wanted to drink the Tanduay Ice they brought (Yes, BROUGHT, coz they're badass like that) and so we decided to roam the compound. Here are the things that we did around the compound...
I saw a cool dark alley and thought that it would be cool to have a photo right there and so we did!
I think the coolest thing we saw there last night was this warehouse for interior things and the warehouse was decorated with fake grass/vines and the photos turned out great!
Props to my friend, Trixie for the cool photos. This is probably one of my favorites nao + a lot of people are liking my profile pic in Facebook, hehehe (that's me on the left and that's Patmai on the right)
Patmai was kind of hyper/drunk that night na, so I think that's why she did this pose =)) She's hilarious to bits. PLUS, she was legit MY first friend in college, guys. Plus points to her!
And then that's my trying to kill her =)) We were laughing. We realized we hadn't eaten dinner that night so we decided to eat dinner in Ministop. We spent most of our time there and we had loads of laugh too. Down here, Patmai is probably talking to the doughnut and saying "Shhh" to it as she ate the poor doughnut. It was hysterical I tell ya! HYSTERICAL!
Here's us pretending not to know that we're not being photographed near the white wall.
We then ran out of drink and had a lot of laugh and decided to go home. Walking towards my car, the crowd parted and....
A WILD JOEY APPEARED! :D
Everyone knows Joey, guys. EVERYONE.
That ends an epic cool night.
I took some photos with my Yashica but it's black and white so Imma have to wait for it to get developed. Photos courtesy of Trixie :D

Popfest 2012
I went to Dope MNL X Popfest last night and it was a cool chill vibe. I GOT TO SEE BEE EYES! :D
Julius V.
They were awesome, I was on my way to the venue of the concert and I could hear them playing and I got all excited in my tummyyy :))
Idris V.
Ooooooh, he reminds me of The Horrors.
Diego A.
Ralph M.
(Did I get their names right tho? I'm not quite sure) =))
Of course he had to wear that Joy Division shirt :O *amazed*
Julius V. He was funny trying to kill time for the next band to replace 'em :))
He said they were giving away free Bee Eyes CD but I was too shy to go near them (na-starstruck ako) =)) UGHHH, regreeet.
Oh, here are the peeps I went with to the fest. They're some cool friends I've got. Wait, I just met Kim last night btw (girl on the left side) and she's cool to hang with =)) Kumiko, the lady on the right, is just as cool too. SHE GAVE ME AN OST OF AVENUE Q which I find hilarious and now I want to go and see them live.
And below is Kim and Trixie using my camera :))

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. That's me and my DERP FACE.
Here's a video that Kumiko took for Sunday Girl which is my FAVE from the band! Wooooo! Check it guys, super worth it. I'm super glad Kumiko had fun because it's been awhile since we haven't seen each other and I spontaneously invited her to the event. I was worried she might not like the music on the Popfest line but the first band that she saw (Bee Eyes) she loved. WOOO!
Then Ciudad:

| His bass is COOL |
I like his guitar.
Then, of course, a crowd favorite was Ang Bandang Shirley:
He reminds me of Chaz as in Toro Y Moi Chaz :)))
Oh, hey, I like corners and shadows :))
My friends Trixie and Kim were MIA but it turned out that they were just looking for something to eat. I saw them in Clawdaddy's so we ate there and got to know more. REVELATIONS HAPPENED (wink at Trixie) =))
Ooooohh, pretty lights~
Bathroom break! I had to pee. Everyone did. :))
I like odd things and by odd, I mean the things that people think are normal. I've got the Eggleston-bug!
I love his guitaaarrr! I didn't get to catch their band name since we arrived at their last song after the dinner that we had at Clawdaddy's.
But the drummer was cool and he went WILD.
I was taking some photos and when I lowered the camera from my face someone jumped (or tapped) at me and nagulat ako :)) It was a schoolmate of mine from high school and it was just Maronne =)) As in that's her in the photo. Sorry, I liked the "framing and composition" and shit so I took a photo of it.(HELLO MARONNE, If you see this Hi and if you want me to remove the photo ok lang :)) )
Then PEDICAB played!
Bitin siya actually, I wish they played more songs haha but oh well...
After Pedicab, the dj set of Gian Romano was the only one I was able to listen to coz I had to go home na. I would just like to say that his playlist was amazing. One song after another and he played Wolf Gang! ACE.
And sooooo, that ends my Saturday night fun with my friends, I will leave you now with Georgina Wilson's face.
![]() |
| My friend Trixie took this photo. Na-starstruck siya eh :)) |
Ooops, NAT.
Here's my Derp/Singing face to Robyn's "Dancing On My Own" during Gian Romano's set =))
Kay. BYE. :))
PS. I would also just like to add that it's fun to talk/shout out loud in High Street when no one is around and the place is quiet. You guys should try it some time!
