Korea Trippin' PT. 3

That morning/afternoon we did all the shopping we could after roaming around the places in Seoul and went back to the places we noted that we wanted to shop in. I went for broke on this trip, guys. I really did.

It's really hard to decide on what item to buy if you are on a tight budget. Also if there are a gazillion cute things you want to purchase in just one building. It was really a challenge and you really have to decide which ONE YOU WANT THE MOST AND WHICH ONE YOU HAVE TO LEAVE BEHIND huhuhuh.

We were waiting for our stamps to be done so we decided to grab a snack first. Kimchi pancaakeesss. MY BRO IS NOT A FAN. Lol, dunno why he hates it.

Flea market in Hongdae. Lots of artists all in one park. They were pretty much into supporting artists who make your portraits in a few minutes in their own styles. Lots of creative vibes happening in this area really. I tried to take some photos of the crafts that artists were selling here but they didn't want to get their items pictured so nvmmmm.

We were in a hurry to be able to purchase lotsa stuff for our pasalubongs to our loved ones since it's customary to have gifts if you travel so it was really crunch time for shopping. 

After all that travelling we had lunch in Myeungdong where this very yummy chicken galbi was served.

We were really tired and hungry that we were able to finish the whole thing! Bro loved iiiitttt.

The next morning, my bro bought some products for himself and we ate brunch~

Naengmyun!!!! As much as I love Jessica's Naengmyun song (cold noodles), I'm not really a fan of this one. Ughhh...

They claimed to be best at what they do but we ended up getting disappointed. Their noodles were meehhhh.. after buying pasalubongs and me literally broke we decided to wrap up our travels in Seoul and head to Incheon Airport.

Best airport in the wooorrllldddd, what upppp? I think they're the best because of the practicality of the airport. The service was really nice as well. Down here is OUR LAST LEGIT KOREAN DINNER... :< creyz

We were really thankful for everything and how we survived the trip and how we were able to do it all on our own. Do note that this was my first trip ever without parental guidance~ and my first trip EVAR to plan on my own (sorta). I was really thankful that everything went well and that nothing bad happened to us. Realized that there are a LOT of things I still need to see from the world and I now know what my cousin meant when she told me she wants to travel to a different country at least once a year. 

Getting to visit unfamiliar territory is really an eye-opener. I love seeing one country's culture and trying to immerse ourselves in it and learning their ways. Randomly meeting nice people (and sometimes rude) along the way is all part of the journey and appreciating the world for what it is. I learned that not everything is easy, everything has to be accounted for and that travelling isn't just going to one place and enjoying the "shopping malls". I also realized that it's a good thing to be proud of your country (lelz, you know how pinoys are) because Koreans are really proud of theirs. If you're proud of what you are and where you came from, good vibes will just go your way, you know?

I know this is a pretty damn late post but I've really been busy these days. A lot has happened this 2013 and now that this post reached the New Year's. Lol. I REALLY NEED TO POST THIS UP and do the obligatory New Year's post too! =)) 

PS. If given a chance to go back to Korea. I would definitely grab it (given that I can pay for all of my expenses). I know there are still loads of places I have to visit and discover in Korea, there's still a lot to get lost into and unearth. Hehehee. Koreaaaa FIGHTING! :>

PPS. I still have some photos from my film cameras that needs processing. I hope I get to find the time and money to get them all processed so I can post them soon too! KOREA I REALLY DO MISS YOU! I WILL COME BACK FOR YOU.

BOY Stripes.

Hellooo, I'm back! And I'm back as a freeeee maannn. Oh yeah. Free man coz I just finished my thesis and was able to defend it last Wednesday. Now I can post all of the pending shiz I need to postttt. So here's the first one after the hiatus...

When we got to Korea, it was SALE season which was super lucky for us/me!

I got to check out racks that contained super affordable clothes. This shirt was in the 5900won rack and I was like...NO SHIT. Guys, google convert that shit to PHP and you'll be surprised at the price result!

The store that I went to was pretty cool as well. I was about to walk past the store because it looked sketchy plus the store was "underground". But you know, when you see the rack labeled 5900won, you can't say no to that. There were a lot more cooler clothes to buy but I decided to save my money for Hongdae. It was a good plan.
 

The cap was in a department store but nonetheless was still pretty affordable since those types of caps can't be found in Manila. That's around 15000won (I can't remember the exact price, lol) But yeah...these two are like 800 pesos only. YAYYY TO AFFORDABLE CLOTHESSS. Wooooo!

NYC: BOY.

Wore this last Friday for my friend's despedida. We're pretty close so I'm pretty fucking sure I'll miss him. I ask him loads of questions from "What should I do?" questions to "What facial products can I use for my fez?" =)) He's a pretty awesome guy and a cool dongsaeng (younger brother) and him leaving for America this week is just terribly sad. I hugged him really tight last Friday and that was our last "physical" day together.

He said "See you" and not "Goodbye" which I thought was really sweet and awesome....and made much more sense. Haha. I'll miss that mofo. :p

The camo shirt is a bit big on me but I think it is supposed to be like that. The fabric is also thicker than your usual shirt fabrics but I can learn to live with it. I love the item I got and it was a bit pricey but for the fabric, I think it's quite fine.

Got my Mishka cap in American Boulevard, lol because the original one was pretty expensive. I discovered the cap at the height of my fangirling during I Got A Boy so I got one haha. There's still more to post but I rarely go out lately because I've been working on my thesis. I'll post more as soon as I get the chance to wear 'em :)

Creeper

Hellooooo, here are 2 more items I got from Korea. Yeaah. Went to school wearing this sadly tho I missed my adviser for my thesis but at least I got to wear these itemssss. Yayy.

I haven't done this in awhile lol. Doing it because I need to make a self-portrait for my thesis since my adviser prefers it illustrated. So I need peegzzz. lol. And yes, I also want to document what I bought in K. So here it is. I got the Creepy Dance Skeleton Shirt and that striped cap in affordable prices.

Lazyy beee

The oppa manning the booth/store where I bought the creeper shirt was really nice. He instantly gave me discounts from the items that I got AND I used my credit card for it. He's pretty awesome. He looks like a bear (just like Kim Tae Woo in Invincible Youth) but is surprisingly nice and has a Hello Kitty calculator which is just adorable, hahaha. 

He was like "O! Where zid I put mah Hello Kitty?" =)))

Creeeppperrrr~

Usually kasi you have to pay cash so they can give you a discount but oppa said I can use my card for it. He also recognized the shirt I was wearing and said "Versace?" and I was like "Yes, err...sort of". It was my Proudrace Virgin shirt that looked like the Versace logo but it was really Madonna haha. 

The cap I found it hard to use because I couldn't find items where I could match it with. Then I got it to work with the shirt so I was really happy I could wear it that day. The game for caps in Korea is insane. THEY LITERALLY MAKE THE CUTEST CAPS IN THE WORLD. Their ideas are super cool and innovative too that as a lover hoarder of caps, I went crazy whenever I saw unique caps. I wish I could take home with me but I have VERY limited budget Haha. I'll show you what I mean in my next post where I got my other kewlll cap (note: it was the most expensive item I got from the trip but I think it's worth it naman but that's just for me) . =))
