7:40.

White's the Theme!

One thing I realized while studying in SDA is that I love architecture but mostly...I love interiors. Specially those with brick walls inside. Badass :> BUT I ALSO LOVE MINIMALISM and awesome edges mixed with contemporary designs. Totally orgasmic. =))

A Day in the Life of An SDA Student...

The photos were taken last Wednesday. Wednesday is my WORST day of the week this term because my class starts at 6Pm AND ENDS AT 7:30PM. Imagine the hassle of hauling my ass to school just for an hour and a half of PHILIPPINE LITERATURE IN ENGLISH. :| AND SOMETIMES, ABSENT SI PROF. SO HAULING MY ASS TO SCHOOL WAS SUCH A WASTE. :|

Anyhoo, I went to school early because me and my groupmates need to finish the group assignment that Sir Artstrong gave us for our midterms in SONDES (SOUND DESIGN). We got a "booth" reserved for 11 to 2PM but since it's midterms week and it's hell week, everyone filled the whole sound design department and I felt like such a bitch to tell the two ladies who were in the booth that we reserved the booth and sorta gave them the sign to leave :( FOR THE RECORD, they did not reserve a booth, ok? :\

Our assignment/project was to change the sounds in the trailer of Pirates of the Carribean 4 INCLUDING THE VOICES. :| We are NOT yet done. :| :| :| :(((( DEADZZZ (Do you know how many things/sounds happen in a 2 minute trailer?!?! A LOT! Now I totally appreciate the Sound people who does movies or ads or whatever. Every detail you have to put, totally worth it in the end product).

This is Trixie, she ain't my groupmate nor my classmate but I just wanted to show you what the booth looks like. That's the computer, and you see that paper? That's her script :))) Yeah, nothing special bout that, but that's a pretty important paper =)). Under the paper lies the mixer, the program that we use is called PROTOOLS, it's really maarte (read: NOT USER-FRIENDLY) but once you get the hang of it, it ain't that bad.

Protools and the mixer go hand-in-hand because without the mixer, Protools WILL NOT WORK. PROVEN AND TESTED by Trixie when she downloaded the Protools at her condo (Told you it's maarte). See the reason why the Sound Design department at that time was full? It's that no one can do their works on their own/at home!

We use Protools because that's what the PROs use so in the future, when sound editing/mixing is needed, we know na how to use Protools. Down here, you'll see the "wavelengths" of the sound, that's basically it but don't judge it by it's look, it's not an easy thing to do specially if you have limited booths. :| :)))

Basically, what we did the whole day was editing sounds...

Behind this door lies the place where we can record the voices, cool noh? :))

After that, we took a break and went out for awhile...

...and decided to spontaneously order Shakey's to surprise our friends coz it's their birthdday(belated)!!! Oh, kidding about the spontaneous part. :))

Up there is the faculty...

and down here...is the cafeteria! :)) The teachers are watching us eat. Kidding, lol, they don't really care bout us during break time, they've got their own eating to do. TRIVIA: Just in case you don't know, Pupil's song Disconnection Notice was video-ed in SDA. :))

PIZZAAHHH!!!

Birthday boy, Vitug is here! Kakoy was still in FOTOGRA class that time. :(

This is what Makati looks like at night.

We then ate the pizza with the other birthday boy, Kakoy!!! While Vitug naman was next door having class :)).

And I went home that night...with a photo with my bandmates. =)))))

Me, John, Neal, Vitug, and Kakoy (is not in the band, he's a fanboy) =))

We're missing someone, THOR! He's the very talented man in the music division..but he studies MMA because he can't read notes. HE HEARS THE NOTES BY EAR AND PLAYS THEM ON THE SPOT! HOW RAD IS THAT?! Oh, he's very good at piano/synths but he can also play the drums. :)) A talented man indeed.

Oh, I'm the bassist pala. :)) Don't expect much coz we're all banoobs (banong newbie, ugh, I hated that term because my friend Andrea keeps saying that dati and it sounds soooo mabaho! =)))) )

And that was my day, it was an awesome one indeed because I totally had laughs from the stories that Neal and John shared! Funny stories I will never forget. :)

Dig for Treasure.

Well, hello there.... RODARTE x Elle Fanning. SUBLIME. I am speechless.

The Next Best Thing.

KOREAN FOOD IS THE NEXT BEST THING. :))) Food-wise that is. I love how it seems so healthy with all the veggies and spices that you eat but that it tastes really good too!

We prefer to eat the grilled foods ALWAYS.

And sometimes we put it on the lettuce like a palaman. It's like making a sandwich but it's meat and veggies. Ugh, soooo good. We ate at this place... it's somewhere in Libis.

Their carpark has some white walls and people drew on it.

Look at how huge that black thing is! I've always wondered how they drew that.... and look what I found, the grafitti that was shown in Rajo Laurel's viral video for Plains and Prints! Cool to see it in person. Watch the video below to see how it was made. :)

Drawing Crangi.

Everyone, I'd like you to meet Philip Crangi. He's "an award-winning designer", in jewelry that is. Don't be fooled and don't be too judgemental, his jewelry line, MAAAYYYJJJOORRR BADASS!!!

Ugh, totally gwapooo..but he's gay sooo, yeah :|

I decided to draw him for my homework in DESKPUB(Desktop Publication) for an ad for my "pretend" design studio which I named RIPPED TEE :> :> :> I was tasked to make a folder and calling card which I love! I will post it soon so I can share it with you guys. :)

My idea for the ad was combining Photoshop brushes with my hand-drawn illustration of Philip Crangi and make it as an ad. Here shows the progress of my drawing. I may/may not post the final ad because I'm kind of lazy to post THAT. :)))))

Anyhoo, here it is :

Added some "highlights"

Et voila! Le finished produkt! :))

Philip Crangi is not just known for his jewelry line, he's also known for his sense of style and he's one of Tommy Ton's best dressed men in GQ. I suggest you guys check him out because he's one of the men to watch out for and get tips and tricks on how to dress nicely (and cool-y) but still be comfortable and look "manly".

Here's Philip Crangi's 10 Essentials in GQ

and

Here's The Crangi Family Project where he shows his jewelry line that he shares with his sister

and

Here's Giles&Brother , the store...

I leave you with a video of Philip Crangi and his studio:

Photos I got from The Dandy Project's site.
Ps. My drawing looks more "tougher" than Crangi himself, looks like he's an angry god from the Greek mythology who can smite me with his mighty lightning rod or something. =))

PPS. If you are highly doubtful about guys/men wearing jewelries and looking gay, here is my rebuttal:

Totally GQ approved! Whatever GQ says, GOES!
