Their chemistry is amazing. In the video, they explain how they made the album Blood Pressures and discuss some of the songs. They also have clips of acoustic versions of their songs in the album.
Ok, honestly, food photography is just not my thing but here's what I did for plate#4. I sorta wanted to do a black on black thing here, I dunno if it's successful tho (black plate & black background). What do you guys think?
The green thing, wasn't sure bout that but thought a little contrast would be nice? :/
Hello friends! I feel like it's been awhile since I posted something so here I am posting my outfit of the day. Bought the blazer in a thrift store and just fell in love with it. Yes, it's bigger than my usual size but I got it because of that and also because it's plaid. AND IT'S IN THE COLOR BLUE. Blue is my fave color.
I felt sooo 80s that whenever I walk I think of The Smiths song playing in my head or a John Hughes movie. =))
thrifted blazer, F21 shoes, Zara shirt, and my DIY bracelet :D
I'm still thinking what my food should be, I was thinking of Mang Inasal coz the skin would (MIGHT) be easy to shoot. But, we'll see how it goes. One of these photos was shot by me and the other by my prof...I think my prof took the 2nd photo. Ain't sure tho.
For our concept photo plate, we were asked to shoot with the theme in mind of 'Dual Personality' with a high-key and low-key setting. For my concept, I was thinking about the two sides women can have. There's the feisty/rebellious type and then there's the innocent/naive/delicate side to them and that's what I wanted the model to show. I used a mask since (for me) mask=hiding your identities (or something like that) and the cat mask because women are often related to feline creatures. You know, like catwalks and Cat Woman (whut) =))
So yah, that's what I did here.
Although, quite frankly, I think I was not able to get the job done in the high-key/low-key part, no?

Here's the 4 views in Maya (yes, we use the software Maya), so far it's getting really good. My prof let's us go after doing the exercises which is cool but makes me think that he is tamad but I guess we learn stuff anyways so that's the good part. After 3D, I go home with my friend John who is really cool because he waits up for me...but sometimes I leave him behind cause a car picks me up from school. Sorry, my bad. Dunno how to end this so I'm just gonna end it nao.
I drew V for the signing event of David Lloyd when he was here in Manila. I thought he'd sign there but he signed on the next page and even drew one! :O AWESOMEEEE.
I drew Tavi Gevinson/Style Rookie! This was from one of her photos on her blog but now I think she's staying away from fashion and more into style. I think she's having a phase and she's busy with high school :))
This is the electric guitar in Transound. It's suppperrr old and OVERUSED na. If I was a rich girl nananananananaaaa~~~ I'd buy myself an epic electric guitar, alas I am not. Although I have plans on buying a Squier Telecaster or (my friend suggested) an Artcore Ibanez. I can't decide between the two but of course, money is also an issue.
My friend can get me a cheap second-hand Ibanez but a brand new Telecaster is not THAT expensive either, thoughts on which one you think is better? :D
You can't play on broken strings. That's what happened to Neal during our band practice last Saturday =)) We were all silent for like 5 seconds or so just staring at Neal's guitar. Thank God Transound has another guitar ready for use!
Ahh, yes..I went to my A1 lecture shiz with this hair. I was totally inspired by the film noir shiz that I wanted to try it so I can do it on Lee's hair. Alas, my hair did not last the whole day...I didn't have hairspray at home so it didn't hold it's position.
We did this shoot yesterday and it was a Saturday. Apparently, on Saturdays we can only borrow the lights up to 4:30 PM only. We only had an hour to set everything up and shoot. I wanted to do more but since our time was running out, I kind of forgot to use the other props that I bought with me because I was nervous and panic-y. :|
My friend Lee was the model this time and I think he did a good job. These are my top photos, now I need to narrow them down to three and see which ones do I submit to Sir Dariel.
I then told Lee to try and lift the coat up (WAT, it made more sense when I demonstrated it in real life =)) ) to show movement and he suggested he do the jump/leap/hop/whatever :)) because it was his fave "look" and I agreed to it. Here are the results:
The ones with the scarf is my favorite :)
I totally had a fun time and wanted to do more outfit/accessory changes but time ran out :| We're doing our shoots on Mondays next time so we can use the lights more. What do you think guys of the shoot guys? :D
