Blood Pressure is Coming.

Blood Pressures.

THE KILLS are back, baby!!!
I LOOVEE THIS BAND TO DEATH.

Listen to their first single as you smoke in a dark alley with your leather jacket on. :))

A Photoshoot Idea?

This totally looks fun and even though this was posted in 2009, the idea doesn't seem to get old! Maybe I can pitch this idea with my friends Rosa and Lee? :> :> :>

On the Zip Flip.

The Sartorialist did a post about zip flipping your trousers....and before this post I've done it once or twice before. It felt so deja vu but it's cool because Sartorialist is like one of the people to listen to, he's a total expert!

So guys, if you're trouser's hemlines have zippers on the side, you guys know what to do...FLIP THE ZIP!!!

PS. Do not mind thy face because I am trying not to look fat in the photo. =)) AND I HATE LOOKING AT THE CAMERA HEAD ON.

Fail Shots.

Here's my WRONG take on White on White.

And my WRONG take on Black on Black. =))

Black and White.

I was told (as homework for FOTOGRA) to do a black on black thing but I got confused as to what my prof meant so I ended up doing this. A black and white thing but he asked me to do it again so...yeah, Imma do it again.

Took a photo of my bro. This one above is my fave. :))

I was amazed/shocked/flattered (I guess =)) ) when my prof said he expects a lot from me and my friend Pam (in a good way) and I hope I won't fail him. I asked him why and he said he doesn't know, but there's this gut-feel that tells him that he expects a lot...SOOOO...HERE'S TO THE HOPE THAT I DON'T FAIL HIM! =)))))

LIV3.

Christopher Drew Ingle, GUYS! LIVEEEE. I just died. He sang during soundcheck 'Your Biggest Fan' and I completely melted. His final song that night was Big City Dreams where I sang my heart out. Didn't care that the people surrounding me we're not singing at all. :)) I sang as loud as I could even if I didn't hit the notes right.

Last Friday, Ayala held the second part of a four-part mall concert which was in Greenbelt. The bands were Never Shout Never, The Maine, and We the Kings. I didn't get to take photos because I left my camera and the crowd was crazy to take photos anyways. These pictures of NSN is from my friend Trixie, so...credits all go to her.

Wasn't totally INTO The Maine coz I don't like their songs except for Can't Stop. Although, I must say that they are really good looking people. :)))) That's all I can say about The Maine. We the Kings' performance was EPIC. They sang all their hits and I sang to the songs We'll Be a Dream, Heaven Can Wait, Secret Valentine (which is like an all time fave song of mine and I sang my heart out!), and of course, their hit Check Yes, Juliet! :))

The lady beside me wasn't having a good time. Everytime people screamed, she would cover her ears...she shouldn't have been there really...she didn't even sing to ANY of the songs. 8-| Anyhoo, this was my outfit that day... =))) Malabo ba? Anyhoo, nothing special there anyways.

I woke up really early just to get tickets just to find out that we were seated WAYYY BACK so we decided to just stand beside the stage, little did we know that the other kids who had the same tix as we did ran up near the VIPs and that was just... GREAT. :| Anyhoo, still had fun because WTK and NSN was great live! Totally had a blast and bought NSN's t-shirt! Wore it the next day for NSTP class. BOO.

All the Cool Kids are Out.

in NEW YORK. UGHHHH, I can't wait to go there someday. :| For now, I dream to be one of these cool kids and sulk at the envy that grows on me~~~~ ugh.

Bon Chon TIME!

We went to Ayala Triangle Gardens which was a cool place to hang out in because it's in the middle of a jungle of high-rise offices that seeing green is a good change after staring at computers for hours. It's walking distance to a lot of buildings so I would definitely bet a 100 bucks that every lunch time ATG is jam-packed. So we parked our car and by we I mean me and my brother Bong and look what I found, ESCOLTA! :))
If you're wondering if that's the hip place during Rizal's time, the answer is NO, that is NOT the real Escolta that was a hip place way back then during Rizal's days. :)) If I'm not mistaken, that's a store(?) in The Peninsula hotel.
Oh, look! A bike road for cyclists. :))

As we walked, we found this very interesting place and my brother loves adventures and is usually attracted by Curious the Cat (you know, the saying that Curiosity killed the Cat...HAHAHA, I AM SUCH A NERD IN MY HUMOR : ) Anyhoo, as I read from a sign, it is a Filipino Heritage Library given/donated by the Ayalas to the Filipinos. I will bet you 50 bucks that my brother will return to this place one day. =)) (My god, I'm such a gambler today!)
Anyhoo, WE FINALLY REACHED OUR DESTINATION!!!!
Taaadaaa!!!

If you would look closely at the tree, it looks like it is painted and we think it is. The color though is amazing because it made the trees more appealing (if that even made sense). :))

So here's BonChon! A chair..... : =))) Kidding, that's one of Bon Chon's chairs which I love! I want one in my future home.

Here it is!!!! That's the interior which I love, simple yet so chic and modern. Please also notice that their logo and the door handles are shaped like a chicken drumstick! =)))) CUTE!

I first heard of Bon Chon through Chuvaness
and ever since I read her post about the place, my bestfriend and I wanted to go and try it out.

Here we are waiting for our food that felt like it arrived after one year because time stops when you are starving for you to be tortured...and because life is a bitch at times. :)) As I was starving, we dug in and I forgot to take a photo.

Here's the aftermath...

We ordered Medium sized Chicken wings meaning 12 pcs in a box, kimchi coleslaw (which I didn't really like but my brother did) and 2 plain rice, oh and 2 large coke. :)) We went home which was super badtrip because there was a cockroach in the car. I FREAKED OUT AND ALMOST PEED MY PANTS. : SWEAR. COCKROACHES ARE THE WORST. :((

Yes, I went out with my mom to watch Ogie and Pops. =))

Would you believe that I used my zoom lens here WITHOUT a tripod? I AM AWESOME! =))) Anyhoo, yes, that's Pops Fernandez. She's an okay singer, weird lang that she sang Lady Gaga songs on a Valentine's concert. What's weird-er is that she danced pa with back-up dancers, sooo not bagay on her. :))

Here's Regine Velasquez who woke me up from my despair as she sang the first note. The table filled with foreginers behind me nodded as they enjoyed listening to her voice as well. She may have a soothing voice but I question her "final" song of the night as it was her cover of Papa Don't Preach. =))))
It felt weird that she sang that on a Valentine's concert FILLED WITH OLD PEOPLE. :))))) I didn't geta photo of Ogie because I was too tamad. The night was a bore because they sang songs I did not know 'cept Mother Monster's songs and the all time Filipino classic song, 'Bakit Nga Ba Mahal Kita?'
What made the night right was the food served, forgot to take a picture but the chicken was cooked to "perfection" as everytime I put a chunk in my mouth, it felt like it would melt and I would just drown in extasy as it was really that good. I've never tasted chicken like that hence I finished the chicken to the very bone. I sound like such a murderer. :))

You know what they say that the camera adds 10 lbs.? Theory proven. I was shocked, and surely di lang ako, that Regine was not as fat as she looked on tv. Surely, she's not as thin as Pops but she looks fine actually AND quite sexy in that "revealing" white dress.

Here's what I wore that night, my ninang loved it. Hahaha.
Zara top, Liberte skirt, Yvonne's leggins, Topshop oxfords, Chanel bag, and Vintage Salvatore Ferragamo from the depths of my mother's closet. =))

Oh, and that night, I had an added accessory coz my mother forced me to. (PLEASE DO NOT MIND MY HIDEOUS FACE) That's a diamond Chanel ring and yes, it's real. My mom loves jewelry so much she sells them. She has lots of stuff for sale and not just those rings, if your mother is up for some of these or more, maybe we can set up a meeting for your mom to view my mother's items, just leave a message if you want. :)

Fifi Lapin

"Fifi Lapin...the world's most stylish bunny" - Elle Magazine

So I stumbled upon Fifi Lapin's blog and just fell in love with the ADORABLE illustrations! Then I learned she has a book and I gasped. I MUST HAVE THE BOOK. I love books, art books, fashion books, anything interesting you name it! Anyhoo, my next stop, Fully Booked (I really need to get a discount card from that store). I'm gonna check if I can order from them and check how much it costs. In the meantime, I found a blog that reviewed the book so click on the LINK.

PS. Does anyone know what Fifi Lapin looks like? =)) I mean, she's obviously not a real HARE-ESS as she says she is, right? =))))

First Photoshoot Ever.

This is my friend ROSA. She owns the place where we held a mini photoshoot! It was my first time ever, as in complete with reflector and external flash pa. =)) SO innocent of me...

This is Lee! He owns the external flash and the huge-ass reflector. How weird is it that the huge reflector is much cheaper than the small one? :)) That's what Lee told me eh.

This is Rosa's brother's drawer, soooo many neat accessories.

This is Rosa's drawing and her cool drawing table that has a mini t-square thing going on, she said it's from her dad (the dad's an architect hence the ozom house which my photos do not give justice to).

AWESOME SHELF!

Lee on his first change of the day.

MAGAZINES! MAGAZINES EVERYWHEREEE!!! AAHHHH, I LOVE IT!!!! =))

Lee showin me his trick. :))

Rosa's brother's table.

SHOES EVERYWHEREEE!!! Note the switch is plaid. =))

ROSA!
I was the first to have her photo taken so I have no photo. Then it was Gia's turn, a newly found friend :D She's a friend of Rosa's and she studies in Ateneo so it was near Rosa's house. She visited and joined the fun coz her Law class starts at 6PM pa. Horrendous sched, laki ng break niya..6.5 hours on a FRIDAY NIGHT.

Gia was an awesome model and she was better off smiling than serious which was really nice! She loves to smile a lot. :))

These leather shoes, OBSESSED WITH IT. :)))

Rosa was next but I was holding the reflector so I didn't get to take shots, then it was Lee's turn! He had the most outfit change methinks...here's a photo behind the scene. It's ROSA THE PHOTOGRAPHER! :))

Lee goes to the gym, here he is flexing his muscles. =)))

Lee loves this hair, I like it din.
Na-cut ung hair, sayang. :))

Some tongue action =))))

This one was dark so I just edited it. : I ain't good as these two eh (Rosa and Lee) :(
Rosa directin the light! :))

Oh, and remember my last post about the zoom trick the Sir Chi Busque taught us? I decided to do it! That was it, end of my first photoshoot everrr. I was really glad that Lee and Rosa invited me in one of their shoots, I really loved it and learned a lot and I had fun din. IF YOU READ THIS, THANKS Rosa, Lee and Gia! I had fun last Friday. :)
