Back and Forth

Lately, I've been looking for awesome music-related documentaries and so far I've watched only one but I'm telling you, I'm really starting to get hooked into it. =)) The first one I watched is called It Might Get Loud which consists of Jimmy Page(Led Zeppelin), The Edge (U2), and Jack White (White Stripes, The Raconteurs, The Dead Weather). That was one hell of a documentary which was totally inspiring. (My favorite part was when Jack White was making a guitar out of wood and a bottle and some strings!!!!)

Now I saw this...

It is currently downloading and it just premiered in SXSW as a film. I hope this would be a good one just as much as the first music documentary I've seen.

I don't know why I'm looking at these documentaries but I have a huge feeling it's because I'm in a "band" now =)))). For our finals in DESKPUB (Desktop Publishing), we were asked to make our own magazine and we were formed into groups. We had this sick idea that we'd put our band in our own magazine =))))) WHATISSELFPROMOTION?! :))

We haven't really had an idea for our band name then so we kept changing it. The latest band name that was placed in our FB group was Catching Moondrops so that was what we used for the magazine article. My friend Beau saw it and said it was "dramatic" and I think putting the band name in the magazine was somehow a sign that it is now our "official band name" =))). Bandmates, agree?

My Trip to Baguio

Remember I told you guys I have phases? Weelll, this summer, it's Maxi skirtttsss!
Maxi skirts all the way. This is what I wore when we went up Baguio, to those readers of mine who had just happened to open this post/blog or just stumbled upon it or whatever, I'm from the Philippines and Baguio is a place wayyy up in the mountains. So it's pretty cold up there compared to the temperature in Manila. So every summer, lotsa folks go up there to cool themselves up.

My post about the trip will be posted soon, HIGHLIGHT OF THE WHOLE TRIP...BEN CAB MUSEUM. I actually even met him and had a bit of a photo op! :)) (How embaraassiinngg)

If you've been reading my blog for quite some time now, you'll notice that this is the exact same skirt that my friend Alex wore! Anyhoo, that's about it today...going back to work now.

Call Me Back

Not one of my faves from their album but the video is sooo mesmerizing. I wish they made a video of a different song instead of this though, Two Kinds of Happiness would have been better but oh wellzz. PS. The girl is sooo pretty. I dieed. =))

This is War

I had no idea that the video was out. Luckily, I checked them out on youtube and found it! Uncensored version but I don't really see anything "worth" censoring in the vid. The video is weird at first but as you get through to it, it clears up. You'll see what I mean if you watch it ;)

Yeezy Taught Me!

Watched this and had a concert with Kanye alone at home. This is really one epic concert! Have a ball and once again, Kanye West kills it! It's time to put your diamonds in the sky and have your own concert at home. :)

This week is just sooo....

UGH.
Creepy vibes from a "hidden" place in SDA...always freaks me out because I keep thinking that something will come out from the corner or something.

This is the 5th floor where they put most of the "trash" from different events. Maybe a reason why they do that is because the industrial design people are here so they need those stuff.

After "class" last Monday I went to Megamall and helped my bro get some things for his trip to Boracay. We ate at Orchard Road, it was okay I guess.

Then last Tuesday, my friend Nina did a photoshoot for her magazine, I tried to help but didn't do much. :\

My friend Vitug.

Self-portrait.

I thought he was Chinese or something but heard him talk fluent tagalog. SO THAT WAS A MAJOR LETDOWN. :|

My friend Pam.

My friend Monica. Thanks for lending me you face!
:))

Coachella Vibes

I was watching Coachella this afternoon through youtube's live webcast and I totally wished I was there! Ughh, it's an ultimate dream of mine to be able to go there. SXSW lies next to that dream, just so you know.

I got to watch Mumford & Sons who totally nailed it and killed their performance on stage and then I realized that I had missed THE KILLS. :|

I MISSED THE KILLS PERFORM IN COACHELLA.

Let me just say it again to give emphasis on the lame-ness that had just happened.
I missed The Kills. :/ Total Epic Fail. Tomorrow, The Strokes will perform and I'm hoping I'd make it but I am in school tomorrow! Total WTF! :|

Anyhoo, this was my outfit when I went to mass because the weather here was crazy hot and I was too lazy to wear denim pants. I don't really know what to call these pants but I got it from a thrift store just in case you guys were wondering. Btw, the trousers were sooo loose that I felt like I was wearing PJs outside the house =)) It's that awesome.

Thrifted shirt and trousers and The Script baller on my right wrist.

Oh yeah, I watched The Script last night AND IT GOES STRAIGHT TO THE TOP OF MY LIST AS THE BEST CONCERT I'VE BEEN TO, SO FAR!!!

An Article for Deskpub

For our finals in Desktop Publishing (DESKPUB), we were grouped and tasked to make our very own magazine. I was assigned in the fashion area which is awesome but difficult because I have to make articles and I have 10 pages to fill. But then again, challenges are fun, no? :)) Anyways, my "editor" Neal suggested I take a photo of my friend Pam and interview her and I recommended that we do street style. Well, Neal obviously approved. :) Here's my "photo shoot" with Pam:

So these are all of the photos that I'd like to put in the magazine, what do you guys think? :)

PS.

I apologize if they're not in order or something (if you noticed, which I'm sure you did =)) ) it's the uploader, it has it's problems, I apologize in behalf of it.

Stylist: Me and Pam =))

Girls on Film!

Vogue Paris' old video. I saw this on Bryanboy's blog and I just fell in love with it. Then I found out that Emmanuelle Alt styled it (ugh, of course! Who elsewould do it for French Vogue?! Silly me..and that would be me talking to myself) and I just died. I looovee Emmanuelle Alt. I have a folder dedicated to her photos AND HER ALONE (for inspiration purposes/stalking).

She used to be my style icon but she's been low-key for quite some time now... 'cept the fact that she is now editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris!!! When I found out she's chief, I just jumped for joy. Anyhoo, have fun watching the vid my friends! AND TO MY FOLLOWERS IN BLOGLOVIN', HOLAAA TO YOU GUYS!!! I just found today that I have followers there now. You guys completely made my day, you know who you are so I'm giving you BIG "cyber-hugs"!!!

Complete Badass-ery!

This photo is by The Sartorialist who can do no wrong. This girl knows how to be cool, hands-down. Is it weird for me to want to be like her and ride a skateboard (preferrably, for me, it's a longboard) down the street and just have fun with life and not give a fuck as to what people think?

It's also cool how her outfit is sooo minimal and that she is featured in The Sartorialist's blog. Nakakainggittt, I'm so jealous how effortless her outfit is. It's definitely the mix of attitude and coolness that caught the attention of Sartorialist's eye. It's amazing what the right attitude can bring, no? :)

This is Me Now...

in my head, sadly :\ Oh summer, I can't wait to be with you.

It's Emily!!!

Finally her video came up!
I was waiting for this for quite some time now. I bought a Nylon mag and got her cover because among the Sucker Punch peeps, she's my fave...duh! If you haven't seen Sucker Punch, you should because the story is unique, one I haven't seen before. The visuals are stunning too and the soundtrack is off the hook!

GO SEE THEM NOW BECAUSE I LOVE IT AND I'M PRETTY SURE YOU GUYS WILL LOVE IT TOO! Aside from having a badass movie, did I mention that Sucker Punch also has one of the awesome-est SOUNDTRACK I HAVE EVER HEARD?!?!

I'm pretty serious at this one because I've been listening to the soundtrack for about 3 weeks (I think) now. Yes! It's that good. So get off the screen, go to your car and drive yourself to the movie house (and screw whatever the critics/reviews say because not everything they say is true! =)) ).

Oh, and did I mention that Emily Browning SINGS IN THE MOVIE/SOUNDTRACK?!?!
What're you waiting for?! GO! GO! GO!

Oh, here's one of my fave songs in the film:

I'm learning The Pixies' version on the guitar :> Just sayin' :))

Bowlers and Leather Shoes

Wore this yesterday and it was a fine chill day. what else can I say?

Zara shirt and shoes, Topshop Bowler hat and pants.

Sunday around Rockwell.

OH, I have a story to tell!

I went to Rockwell Power Plant and brought my camera and I took a photo of the phone booth thingy and the security guard told me I can't take a photo of it..:| :| :| I think I even gave her a weird look because she repeated what she said but as a "law-abiding citizen", I turned my camera off. I told her "Okay..but...IT'S JUST A PHONE BOOTH!" and she didn't know what to say and just smiled at me so I walked away =))))

......

I CAN'T TAKE A PHOTO OF THE FREAKING PHONE BOOTH.
I CAN'T TAKE A PHOTO OF THE FREAKING PHONE BOOTH.
I CAN'T TAKE A PHOTO OF THE FREAKING PHONE BOOTH.
I CAN'T TAKE A PHOTO OF THE FREAKING PHONE BOOTH?!?!??!

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHY IS THAT ILLEGAL? She said it's okay if there's someone in the photo but when no one is around I can't take a photo of the phone booth.

IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE. =)))))

I'd totally understand (actually, parang hindi rin eh) if she'd stop me taking photos of the stores in the mall but A TELEPHONE BOOTH?!?! WHYY ON EARTH IS THAT SO WRONG???!?

Please, someone...answer my question. Enlighten me in the rules of the malls coz I sure as hell don't get it.

Aaaannndddd you're (reader) all like:

"cool story, BRO"

=))

Sunrise Buckets.

SURF BOARD'S ON THE ROOF!!! It'd be cooler though if they were realll surf boards...

So this is where we ate last Sunday! The place is called Sunrise Buckets and it kind of did remind me of Bon Chon except the place gives off that cool beachy surfer vibe..which I loveeee! It also gave the vibe na ang sarap mag-inuman dito with your friends so I suggest you go do that, it's that cool of a place. :))

There's a giant menu posted on the wall near the cashier and it's on surfboards!

This "poster" lights up, very mesmerizing to look at =)) WAT.

They have a couch in the room!

This wall is filled with chalk shizzz, my back leaned against it and I was wearing black pa naman, ughhhh =))

She's the cashier lady and she kind of scared me a bit because she looks like she can kick my ass if she wanted to but then I realized she's nice when she asked us if she could take our photo (Don't ask me whyyy, I'm guessing it's for their site?)

They have this thingy where I think you can post stuff, it's sorta kinda empty at the moment.

My bro, he had a haircut...I think his basis is ala Mike Posner...not sureee. =))

Mommeehhhh!!!

Iced Teassss came first, it was really good because it wasn't that sweet.

THENNN THE FOOD CAMMEEE!!!

In buckets! :)))

The one on the rightis the spicy one..i think, which is good, but I like the one on the right with their Jack Daniel's sauce...I think it's called the Jack Daniel's special.

They're really good (trust me) so I hope you hit 'em up pretty soon! It's located in Madison Square Cubao Quezon City and here's their multiply site for you guys :>
